Review of China Refining Market in Sep 2013

 News Spot:

China may impose consumption taxes on only one product from C4 olefin processing-aromatic gasoline.

China raised retail ceiling prices by yuan (CNY) 90/mt for gasoline and CNY85/mt for gasoil from 14 September.

China’s commercial crude inventories posted a 1.62% fall by the end of July as compared with a month ago.

 Crude Refining:

Chinese refineries are expected to refine a combined 38.8-39.2 -mil mt of crude and fuel oil in September, with daily throughput up by 3% from the previous month.

Crude throughput is estimated at 1.28m-1.33 -mil mt/day, up by 3% month on month.

Crude apparent consumption of China amounted to 284.01 -mil mt in the first seven months of 2013, a rise of 2.66% from the year-ago level.

The rise was boosted by crude throughput at new units, which were put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2012,  at Maoming Petrochemical, Shanghai Petrochemical and Jinling Petrochemical.

Note: Since the National Bureau of Statistics did not release the monthly production data for LPG and Naphtha, SZ China Refining Monthly Report-Sep’2013 will also stop releasing the related tables. We are sorry for the inconvenience we have caused to our subscribers.
